artist bio
Marissa Ng (b. 1997) is a Cambridge-based artist from Vancouver, Canada. Her work across visual art and poetry centers on identity, exploring femininity, fragility, and the ephemeral. Her poetry is forthcoming in Harvard’s The Yellow Couch. She is also a dancer and pianist.
She graduated from the University of British Columbia at age 19 and has received full scholarships for graduate study at the University of Oxford and Harvard Kennedy School.

Marissa is a Belfer Young Leader Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, where she is pursuing a Master of Public Administration, with a focus on art, politics, and democracy.
Previously, she led forest and coastal conservation strategies in East Africa and Canada, and advised on decarbonization projects as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Her work has taken her from the mpingo forests of Tanzania to the coastal waters of her home in British Columbia.
She holds an MBA and an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management from the University of Oxford, where she was an Oxford-Pershing Square Scholar.
